» Consignment Guidelines

The QUALITY of Your Clothing MUST meet the following criteria:

  • Item(s) must be freshly laundered, preferably dry-cleaned. Clothing smelling of smoke or covered with pet hair will not be accepted.

  • Item(s) must be ironed and on a hanger. If we must have clothing dry-cleaned or laundered for any reason, a cleaning cost of $2.75 per item will be deducted from your account.

  • Item(s) must be in "like New Condition" without stains, excessive wear or rips.

  • Item(s) must be in good repair, all buttons and zippers must  be working.

  • Item(s) must be in current style and in season.

  • Only "Western Wear" and Tack items will be considered for consignment. Trixie's Western Outfitters will make the final decision as to what is accepted. Intimate Apparel and Undergarments will not be accepted.

Regulation of the Contract:

  • Trixie's Western Outfitters determines the pricing (usually based on designer, label, style and condition) to ensure your items will be sold at the most profitable prices for both consignor and consignee.

  • No more than 12 items may be consigned per person. Trixie's Western Oufitters reserves the right to delay receipt of items without prior notice due to lace of space, over stocking of a particular item, or to prevent overstocking in general.

  • Merchandise will be displayed for 120 days. Any items not picked up at the end of business on day 125, will automatically become property of Trixie's Western Outfitters. Trixie's Western Outfitters reserves the right to donate the items to charity after day 125.

  • It is the responsibility of the consignor to keep track of their Consignment Date and  Expiration Date. It will be listed at the end of the contract. Trixie's Western Outfitters will not send notifications making your aware of the time frame.

  • Although we will take steps to prevent such from happening, Trixie's Western Outfitters is not responsible for loss or damage to any consigned items. This includes theft and fire damage.

  • Trixies's Western Outfitters reserves the right to refuse any item deemed not suitable for sale.

  • Items to be consigned MUST belong to the consignor. Your signature of this contract serves as admittance that the items you are consigning belong to you.

  • Private sales are not permitted in or near Trixie's Western Outfitters location. Violation will result in loss of shop privileges.

  • Items withdrawn by the consignor before the 115 days, will incur a fee of $2.00 per item.

  • Trixie's Western Outfitters receives 40% of ticketed price of the items value at sale. the consignor receives 60% of ticketed price of the items value at sale.

  • After 30 days on the sales floor, items are reduced by 20% of the original sale price. After 60 days on the sales floor, items are reduced by 40% of the original sale price. After 90 days on the sales floor, items are reduced by 60% of the original sale price. The exception tot this  will be on LARGE ticketed items between Trixie's Western Outfitters and the consignor on the date the contract is signed and will be written on the contract.

  • Due to limited cash on the premises, consignors will receive payment in the form of a check. Checks will be available after the 5th of each month for items sold during the previous month, unless otherwise agreed upon on the date the contract is signed. This special agreement will also be written on the contract.

  • Checks can be sent to the consignors if Trixie's Western Outfitters is provided with self-addressed stamped envelopes. Consignor checks are void after 90 days and cannot be re-issued.

  • Consignors are responsible for claiming sales on their personal or business income tax. Trixie's will not send statements showing total sales for a given consignor.
